To me, painting is visual poetry.

When painting, I use the four pillars of painting: color, value, shapes, and edges to create visual poetry. I try to capture the essence of the moment in my work and inject that magic by capturing the uniqueness of the light.

When doing stone sculptures, I find that work gives me greater attention to subtle details in my paintings.

Having lived in several different parts of the USA, I have developed a greater appreciation of nature and culture of different areas and try to incorporate that into my work.

Recently I moved to Michigan where I am enjoying all the different seasonsand fascinating people and places.
