From the first day I tried sculpting with clay it gave me joy. I like the tactile nature of the medium, the challenge with gravity and the commitment to each piece. I mostly enjoy forming delicate poses to create movement. I find there is something captivating about creating a figure that captures a feeling, an expression or a moment in time.

I am especially attracted to the beauty, elegance and dynamism of the performing arts. My mother was a Spanish classical dancer and my father a circus performer; both forms of art often percolate into my creations.
