Marsha Ouimette

Marsha Ouimette
Marsha Ouimette is a passionate sculptor whose work captures the unique character of both the human face and her beloved feline companions. After receiving her art degree from Bridgewater College, she continued her studies at prestigious institutions including the Rhode Island School of Design, Taos Art Institute, Ringling School of Design, and the Venice Art Center.
Marsha's whimsical clay cats were notably featured in the "Kool Kats and Dawgs" exhibition at the Venice Art Center in July 2021, a collaborative show with a fellow artist that benefited local animal charities.
This April, Marsha once again teamed up with another artist at the Venice Art Center main gallery. Worldly Wishes, a gathering of peoples wishes from 40 countries, illustrated in paintings of her partner and Marsha’s clay sculptures.
Her work has garnered awards from the Venice Art Center, Art Uptown, and the Women's Contemporary Artists. Marsha is an active member of the Venice Art Center, Women's Contemporary Artists, OLLI at Ringling, Sarasota Art Museum, and Manatee Art Center.
Her art is available for purchase at the Venice Art Center gift shop and by appointment at her home studio.
