I am a teacher by profession and always tried to include art in many aspects in my classes.

I taught 2^nd and 3^rd grades and found art was always a way to incorporate many skills necessary while enjoying learning.  It made learning to read and to do arithmetic more fun.

Now I make collage and mixed media pieces.  It is a way for me to see life and to be involved with what is going on around me.  I enjoy taking multiple classes that

explore various media methods.  I particularly enjoy creating my own supplies that I can use in my work.  Being with others in these classes expands my knowledge

and provides even more potential from classmates.   An added bonus - we become friends!
