Vilma Packard

My artistic practice is deeply rooted in a lifelong passion for creation, cultivated through hands-on engagement with diverse materials from fabric to fine art supplies. While a career in Physical Therapy once shaped my path, art emerged as a vital anchor, guiding me through personal transitions and ultimately becoming my primary mode of expression.

I explore the world through a blend of mediums, finding particular resonance in the evocative qualities of soft pastels for their ability to express my most synchronous visions. My work also spans the detailed precision of pen & ink, graphite and color pencils alongside the vibrant versatility of watercolor and acrylic paints. Each chosen medium serves to capture and convey my evolving perspective and emotional landscapes. My love of animals, especially dogs are portrayed in my animal portraits in soft pastels. As an active member of the Pastel Society of Tampa Bay, Left Coast Pastel Painters Society, and Southeastern Pastel Society, I strive to continue to push the boundaries of my craft, sharing my unique voice and vision with the art world.
