My Mixed Media abstract art celebrates the joy found being near water and an open sky. By inventing and abstracting the natural world, I invite viewers to experience their own memories and feelings of favorite places.

By using vibrant colors and energetic marks, created with different mediums including acrylic paint, ink and oil pastels, I hope to convey happiness and the sense of a special place.

My art is made with many tools, including palette knives, scrapers, color shapers and found objects. By using different tools, but rarely brushes, I make dynamic textures and a layered surface. This approach allows me to capture the energy of wind, water, and shifting light.
