I have begun exploring  watercolor in the last 2 years as inspired by the glorious colors, shapes and shadows of nature and being retired with leisure time. This media is like an experiment with many happy accidents and surprises. The creation of color and form with water is so uplifting to the spirit. The lessons of my inner self have a chance to surface.  I have been doing online tutorials for guidance and inspiration. A little dabbling with mixed media, and exploring different teachers’ techniques and styles of communication. One class leads to another opportunity, is it drawing, portraits, abstract and loose, or do I need clear structure this time with guidance throughout.

A dear friend, Janice, has encouraged me since the beginning, and now I am ready to join others on a journey of self-exploration. Sharing some of my pieces with others is fine, as each creation represents days in my life now past, but not bound by fear of comment. To take and hear advice and apply it, is a gift from others.

I look forward to being part of a community of creators and individuals with great talent to express life.
