My medium is pastel, and my work is essentially figurative…but I do not just want to paint portraits or figures. My influences come from many places: travel, myth, literature, old movies, and documentaries. Sometimes my paintings evoke moods. Often models or their poses suggest what I do with rest of the painting. Color is an essential part of my creations.
