Marie Garafano

Marie Garfano
I have wanted to be an artist since I was a child. I loved drawing. My high school art teacher was the greatest influence in my life. I always wanted to paint. Landscapes are my favorite subject. Painting the rolling green hills of Pennsylvania as well as the Florida clouds in the flat landscape has become a passion. I am attracted to the light in painting, whether it is in landscape or still life. I am drawn to the quiet moment.
Cornell West calls it – “the sublime in the ordinary”.
