Prospectus

Members of Women Contemporary Artists who are members in good standing may submit up to three works for the exhibition. Wall-hung 2D or 3D artwork and free-standing 3D artwork are welcome. All entries will be exhibited in the exhibition.

All entries must be original artwork with no AI assistance. Work must be completed within the last three (3) years and not previously shown in any WCA exhibit.

Any reference material used must be your own original work or photography. Size limitation for wall-hung artwork, both 2D and 3D (such as totems/reliefs) is limited to 40 inches in height by 40 inches in width, including any framing. If the wall-hung artwork does not exceed 24 inches in width, the height may be extended to 72 inches. Diptychs and triptychs are permitted as long as, when combined, they adhere to the specified size limitations for a single artwork.
Size limitation for table-top 3D work is 24H x 24W x 24D inches. Weight limitation is 30 pounds. The venue doesn’t have pedestals. Artists must provide their own pedestals.

Size limitation for floor-standing 3D work is 72H x 24W x 24D inches.
All artwork on paper, including photography, must be professionally mounted and sealed or framed under plexiglass or glass. Unframed canvas needs to be museum-wrapped (no staples showing) with painted edges.
If sides have staples, artwork must be framed.

Artwork and framing must be in gallery-ready condition. This includes:
• Frames must be in good condition with no scratches or loose corner.
• Backing must be clean and intact.
• Mats must be clean and cut smoothly.
• Plexiglass or glass must be clean, unscratched and unbroken.
• Position the wire 3–4 inches below the top of the work. This will allow it to hang close to the wall.
• Wire ends must be wrapped with tape.
• D-rings or screw eyes must be attached firmly. No sawtooth hangers are allowed.
• Artwork must be completely dry.
• Artwork must be for sale (No NFS).
The venue is unstaffed; exhibition halls are open Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm. Artists are responsible for insuring their own artwork. Neither WCA nor Art & Frame will be responsible for damage, theft, or loss.

At receiving, all artwork will be reviewed for adherence to this Prospectus. Any work which does not adhere to any item in the Prospectus will not be exhibited and will be returned to the Artist that day.
Art & Frame of Sarasota is responsible for the installation of this exhibit. Once artwork is hung, its location shall not be changed, and the work shall not be removed until the pick up date and time.
Art & Frame of Sarasota will process all sales and pay applicable taxes on any work sold. They will retain a 20% commission on sale amount which is donated to Lauren’s One Wish, an organization which brings awareness to childhood cancer and leukemia.
